Privacy policy

When you book a reading with me, you share personal and sometimes sensitive things. I handle that with care. Here you can read which data I collect, why, how long I keep it and what rights you have.

Who is responsible

What data I collect

For a reading: your name, date of birth, email address and your question or situation. Sometimes a recent photo of your face, if you send it yourself.
For a meditation: your name and email address.
For an appointment on location: your name, email address, phone number, your address or town, and for a photoshoot the photos I take of you.
For a payment: the amount, the date and the payment method. Mollie processes your card or bank details; I don't see them myself.
When you contact me: what you send me via the contact form, email, WhatsApp or Instagram.

If you tell me something sensitive in your question, such as about your health, I only use it for your reading. By sharing it with me yourself, you give your explicit consent for this, and you can withdraw that consent at any time. Only share what you truly want to share.

Why I use it

To carry out your order, create and deliver your reading, and communicate with you. This is necessary for our contract.
To keep my accounts, as the law requires.
To show your photos in my portfolio, only if you give your express permission.

I never use your data for advertising without your consent, and I never sell it.

How long I keep it

Your reading video: I delete it from my laptop as soon as I have sent it.
Your question and date of birth: until your reading or journey is completed, and then for a maximum of 6 months for any follow-up questions.
Payment details: 10 years, as Belgian accounting law requires.
Messages: as long as needed to help you further.

Who I share it with

Only with services I need to do my work. They may only process your data on my behalf:

Mollie for payments
Netlify, which hosts my website
my email provider and a service to send confirmation emails
WeTransfer to deliver your reading
Billit and my accountant, for bookkeeping
WhatsApp (Meta), if you contact me via WhatsApp

Some of these services use servers outside the European Union. In that case they provide the protection required by the European data protection law (GDPR).

Cookies

My website does not use cookies to track you or show ads. Only what is technically necessary for the site and payments to work.

Your rights

You can always ask which data I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict its processing, receive a copy of your data, or object. If you gave consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Just send me an email at info@softsacredself.com; I reply within one month.

If you are not satisfied with how I handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be), or with the data protection authority in your own country.
